Prerequisites
Before setting up Zoom:- Zoom Pro, Business, or Enterprise account (Basic accounts cannot use cloud recording)
- Admin permissions to enable recording settings
- Active Fabius account with integration permissions
Setup Process
Step 1: Enable Cloud Recording in Zoom
Before connecting to Fabius, you must enable cloud recording in your Zoom account:-
Access Zoom Settings
- Sign in to the Zoom web portal
- Click Settings in the navigation menu
- Click the Recording & Transcript tab

Enable Cloud Recording
- Locate the Cloud Recording setting
- Click the toggle to enable it
- If prompted, click Enable to confirm

Enable Audio Transcription
- In the Advanced cloud recording settings section
- Check the box next to Create audio transcript
- Click Save to apply changes

Set Recording Retention (Recommended)
- In the Recording & Transcript settings, look for Auto delete cloud recordings after days
- Enable the toggle and set to 15 days to avoid exceeding storage limits
- This helps manage storage within default plan limits (5GB for Business, 10GB for Business Plus)
- Click Save to apply changes
Storage Management: Setting a 15-day retention period helps prevent exceeding your plan’s cloud storage limits. You can always download important recordings before they’re automatically deleted. See Zoom’s guide on managing cloud recording storage for more details.
Step 2: Connect Zoom to Fabius

Access Integration Settings
- Log in to Fabius at app.fabius.io
- Navigate to Settings → Integrations
- Find the Zoom section

Authorize Connection
- Click Connect Zoom
- Sign in to your Zoom account when prompted
- Grant the requested permissions:
- Access meeting information
- Download recordings
- View meeting participants

Verify Connection
- Confirm status shows “Connected”
- Check that your Zoom account is listed
- Note the last sync timestamp
Troubleshooting
Recording Issues
No Recording Found- Confirm the meeting was recorded to the cloud (not locally)
- Check that cloud recording is enabled for your account
- Verify you have a paid Zoom plan (Pro, Business, or Enterprise)

- Ensure you’re the meeting host or have recording permissions
- Check recording permissions in your Zoom account
- Verify account has sufficient cloud storage
- Contact your Zoom administrator if needed
Transcription Problems
No Transcript Generated- Confirm the meeting was recorded in Zoom cloud
- Verify audio transcription is enabled in Zoom settings
- Check that the meeting had sufficient audio quality
- Allow up to 24 hours for Zoom to process transcripts

- Use external microphones when possible
- Reduce background noise
- Ensure clear speech from all participants
- Check Zoom’s transcription language settings
Sync Issues
Missing Meeting Analysis- Confirm meeting met your configured criteria
- Check that recording includes external participants
- Verify recording completed successfully in Zoom
- Review Fabius processing queue
- Allow additional time for large recordings
- Verify Zoom account connection in Fabius settings
- Re-authorize the connection if needed
- Check for Zoom account suspension or issues
- Contact support if problems persist
