Fabius requires a Gmail connection to process emails and generate AI-powered drafts. This guide covers the essential Gmail OAuth connection that enables server-side email processing.
Understanding the Two-Part Setup
The Fabius email reply system requires two separate connections:
-
Gmail OAuth Connection (covered here) - Allows Fabius to:
- Read incoming emails from your Gmail account
- Process email content server-side
- Generate AI drafts based on email content
- Track email threads and conversations
-
Gmail Add-on (separate installation) - Provides:
- The interface to view drafts in Gmail
- Ability to insert drafts into compose window
- Task management within Gmail
Important: Both connections are required for the email reply feature to work. This page covers the OAuth connection setup.
