Using Knowledge Documents for Analysis Context
Fabius analysis becomes significantly more powerful and tailored when the AI has access to your internal knowledge – sales playbooks, product specifications, competitor battlecards, case studies, standard operating procedures, etc. You provide this context by linking Knowledge Documents to your Analysis Fields.Recap: How Knowledge Docs Provide Context
- Explicit Linking (Field-Specific Context): You can explicitly link specific Knowledge Documents directly to an Analysis Field. This tells Fabius, “This document is always relevant when analyzing this specific field.”
Linking Knowledge Documents to Fields
You manage these links on the Field Detail page.- Navigate to the field (Settings -> Analysis -> Fields -> [Field Name]).
- Find the “Knowledge Documents” section.
- Click “Add Document”.
- The “Add Knowledge Document” drawer opens:
- Existing Documents Tab: Browse or search your existing Knowledge Documents. Documents already linked to this field are excluded from the list. Select the document you want to link.
- Upload Document Tab: Upload a new file directly. After uploading, switch back to the “Existing Documents” tab to find and select it.
- Select Usage Mode: When selecting an existing document, you’ll choose how it should be used for this specific field link:
Reference during analysis: The AI will read the content of this document when analyzing this field, provided the document was also selected as relevant by the general AI Selector (Step 1 above). Use this for documents containing procedures, definitions, or examples the AI should directly consult.Update Prompt: The document content is not included during live analysis. Instead, if this document is updated later, when you create a new draft, this knowledge document will be included in the chat context automatically. Both: Use the document for both live analysis context and for suggesting prompt updates when the document changes.
- Click “Select” or “Link”. The document is now associated with the field.
Document Length
For extremely long documents (more than 10-20 pages), Fabius will use a retrieval approach to search through the document and pull out the most relevant sections for the analysis of the specific interaction it’s completing. For smaller documents, Fabius will just include the entire document in the analysis.Impact on Analysis
- Richer Prompts: Linked documents (in
ReferenceorBothmode) provide the AI with direct access to your internal knowledge, enabling more accurate, context-aware analysis. - Improved Consistency: Ensures analysis aligns with your official documentation and procedures.
