Introduction to Automated Analysis

Fabius doesn’t just store your sales data; it actively learns from it to become an expert in your unique go-to-market motion. The Automated Analysis system is the core engine that powers this expertise, processing interactions like calls, documents, and emails to extract valuable information, evaluate performance, and even automate tasks.

What Does Analysis Do?

At its heart, Fabius Analysis aims to understand what happened during a customer interaction and how well it aligned with your specific sales process and goals. This involves:

Scoring Performance

Objectively evaluate rep performance on key competencies (like Discovery or Demo Quality) using custom rubrics defined by you.

Extracting Key Information

Pull out critical details like agreed next steps, mentioned competitors, budget discussions, technical requirements, or identified pain points.

Generating Content

Automate the creation of follow-up emails, call summaries, or other content based on the interaction and your templates.

Surfacing Insights

Identify trends, common objections, or successful talk tracks by analyzing patterns across multiple interactions.

The Basic Flow

While the system is highly configurable, a typical analysis follows these steps:
  1. Event Ingestion: Fabius receives data about an interaction (e.g., a call transcript is processed, a document is uploaded, an email thread is synced).
  2. Filtering: The system checks which Analysis Configurations are relevant to this specific event using Filter Templates.
  3. Eligibility Check (Optional): For configurations involving scoring, Score Eligibility Questions might be checked to see if the interaction qualifies for analysis (e.g., skipping a no-show call).
  4. Field Analysis: The matched Configuration executes its linked Analysis Fields. Each field performs a specific task (scoring or value extraction/generation) using AI, guided by your instructions and context.
  5. Results Storage: The output (scores and values) is saved as an Analysis Result linked back to the original event and the specific Configuration/Field used.

Key Components

You’ll interact with these main building blocks:
  • Analysis Configurations: Define when and how to analyze specific types of interactions (Calls, Documents, Opportunities). They link events to the fields that should be run.
  • Analysis Fields: Represent individual analysis tasks – either scoring performance (Score Fields) or extracting/generating information (Value Fields). They contain the core AI prompts (Instructions, Rubrics, Directions).
  • Drafts: A safe environment to edit and test changes to your Analysis Fields using AI assistance before deploying them live.

Why Use Automated Analysis?

Implementing analysis in Fabius provides significant benefits:
  • Consistency: Ensures key information is captured and performance is evaluated uniformly across all reps and interactions.
  • Coaching: Provides objective data points and specific examples (Pros/Cons) for targeted rep coaching.
  • Automation: Reduces manual work by generating summaries, follow-up emails, and identifying action items automatically.
  • Actionable Insights: Uncovers trends and best practices hidden within your interaction data.
  • Process Adherence: Reinforces your defined sales process by evaluating reps against your standards.
